The UNESCO-protected Aeolian Islands, located few miles north from the Sicilian coast and are quickly becoming a must-see yacht charter destination. Whether it’s the crystal-clear seas, the active volcanoes, or the gourmet beachside restaurants, there’s something for everybody. Everyone will have a wonderful time on these seven islands. Visiting the Aeolian islands with a luxury yacht will give you exclusive access to the finest spots of this Italian paradise, from the island’s main base at Lipari to the exclusive Panarea and the almost untouched Alicudi and Filicudi.
July and August, as with most Mediterranean destinations, bring the best weather and the most visitors. This is referred to be the ‘peak season.’
If you want to climb the volcanoes, we suggest booking your Aeolian Islands Yacht charter in June or September to avoid the summer heat. May and October are also enjoyable months, with the summer weather continuing and prices on the islands drop notably. Outside of July and August, charter fees are usually lower. The Aeolian Islands can be visited as part of a Sicily or Amalfi Coast yacht charter, or on longer yacht charters from Sardinia or either Greece.
